Kanga, I recommend splitting the case and taking the crank out. You can do a full inspection on it. Do you have the Honda Factory Shop manual? If not, send me a PM with your email and I will send it to you. I'm away from home until sunday and have to send it from the home computer.

Gday Kanga,

Clymer manuals are not well regarded around here. Others here might put it somewhat stronger.

Get the FSM from James, if in doubt the brains trust here is the best.

To me it looks like end play problems, but I've not rebuilt my 450 yet I'm waiting on getting my cylinders bored, so not at all expert.

Thanks Gazza yep I will soon be splitting the cases and hoping that it won't be too bad and I can just install the crank I am getting off 450roo. if u missed
my last post i bought another motor for $600 and I am hoping that I can put it in ,put the carburettors on and off I will go but I expect it won't go like that. the motor comes tomorrow
