I want to make custom exhaust for my spare parts scrambler cl350.
The stock exhaust is triple walled @ the head & the ID is very small. Is this needed?
I want to use some 1.5" mandrel bends & make hight piese. 1 on each side...

The factory pipe is multiple walled for several reasons.... One is the "tightmess of the turns" would immediately "turn color" between the exhaust heat and the cooling air flowing past (it also helps protect the rider as the outer pipe stays somewhat cooler than the inner one due to the air jacket between the two... It's only "triple at the header connection for strength, elsewhere its double wall....)....The other is asthetics.... The skinny pipe that matches the output flow rate just "looks" too small to suggest a powerful engine.....
You can run a larger diameter "actual" pipe, but expect it to "blue" almost immediately, and you may have to change carburation to adjust for the different flow rates........
