im restoring my dads old cb350twin, and all the electricals were pulled off of it like 10 years ago so it could be painted, i have basicall no idea where to start but with a test lamp and a full battery i can get a few wires to work, i was wondering if i could by pass all the on off switches and lights and just get some power to the coil to get it to run, cheers

here is some links to a few photos of it if you can point out what i need to join up..

year of the bike would help, but if you just want to see if it will fire, run a wire from battery + to the + side (black/white wires) of the coils, they will get warm if you leave them on there very long

...And wires from the individual coils, one to each of the breaker points. You'll have to look at the diagramme to see which wire goes to which breaker for leftcyl/right cyl. - The wires from the condensers will link to the wires between the breaker and the coil for each side. Clean up the timing box first - if the points don't ground the coil circuit, you won't have an ignition spark.

so all you really need is a live wire to go into the coil to get a spark. and its an early 70s i dunno the exact year.

Yes, a simple "hot" wire (B+) to the black/white wires on both coils......(B- grounded)...
As for year, what's the serial number, and what year does the title say it is?
(The "K" of the bike is actually what's important, and the serial determines that)
