Hi all,

I just put back my engine in the frame of my CB160 and I think I might have messed up when putting the cam back.
The timing seems wrong, the engine starts but miss fire a lot and die with a little twist of the throttle.

On these twins, would it be possible to have the cam 180 out? Is there a way to check without taking the engine out again?

I have an electronic ignition I am suspecting as well...

Any help will greatly help!

Does your electronic ignition use the mechanical advance unit? If so it may be stuck or not functioning properly. Check the voltage at the coils while running, it should be close to battery voltage. If the voltage is low check all the connections, key switch, kill switch and wiring.

I'm glad I don't have to take everything apart!!
My ignition does use the mechanical advance. Looking at it, I think the springs are shot...
Anyone know the specs to find replacements?
I am going to put new spark plugs and test the voltage.
