so I am helping my son convert his '80 CX500 tail lights and signals to LED and I cannot get the brake light working again or the signals to blink.

I suspect i need to get an LED flasher relay? do I need to change the front signal bulbs to LED also or will it work if they are mixed LED and incandescent?

what would be keeping the brake light from working?

I re-wired it back to the old rear unit and it works and then back to the LED and it doesnt work again - shouldn't have anything to do with the signal relay?
