Coming Along

I'm beginning to reassemble the bike. Cleaned and painted everything. The cleaning took a lot of time since the bike was disgustingly dirty and oily. Mr. Lane is helping out with the engine and I'm having the tank and side covers painted. I just mounted the new Cheng Shins this morning. The bad boys over at Harley balanced them for me.

Looking nice, Chris.
New tires are always cool, for some reason.

You never let us know how those swingarm bushngs went - ??
Looks like it's coming along very nicely Chris. I'm at about the same stage on my 450 project, I just got my swingarm bushings in. I ordered the part numbered by Bill from my Honda dealer and they worked out well. I hope to be riding mine in the spring, it looks like you be riding yours then too.

Yeah, if I ever get his engine painted .......

(mental kick in the butt)
Thanks guys. Bill, the swingarm bushings were a very tight fit but seated well. Because the bushings had the collar on them, I only used the end caps. I haven't torqued everything down yet, but it all seems to fit nicely.
How come the disk-like plate just on the outside of the rear sprocket isn't on any of the diagrams. I looked at three different drawings, and none of them showed it.

Chris -

Actually, it should be on any of the disk brake 450 fiches (K3-K7).
It was phased in as a replacement for all 450's - has a 457 code, which is CB450 K6/K7.

K6/K7 came stock with them, for sure.
