This '71 CB450K4 is stripped for track, and got it back to the point where im doing elec timing. RHS point timed in fine. LHS point is not getting power. In the photo below, the RHS point is getting power from the red wire, which are joined to the rhs coil and condenser by the blue wires in the bridge box. The black wire is not getting power at the bridge, therefore lhs point isnt. The yellow wires go to the lhs coil and condenser.

Anyone have any clues as to how i test the lhs coil?

Pull the yellow wire out of that junction box and touch it to ground. That should produce a spark, assuming the black coil wire is getting 12 volts from the switch.

No spark. Or juice through test light, on yellow wires. Black ones test ok, they feed the red wire to the rhs point.

Can coils fail? If replacing one, should I replace both??

Yes coils can and do fail all the times. Have you checked them out?
