Hello,

I am looking to relocate my coils to another location on the bike as my new tank interferes with the stock location. I am wondering if the coils need to be bolted to the frame (specifically the bolts circled in blue) for a ground, or can it be secured with something like a zip tie.

Luggage and bags Bag Audio equipment Gadget Electrical wiring

Thanks,
Max

While the coils themselves don't need a ground to function, there can be induced Voltages on the metal frame; a ground wire attached to the bolts will keep this from happening.

Great, this helps me out quite a bit and is a very easy fix. Thank you very much!
