I finally got a rim to match my front. A 16" spoked off a CM400E

However it arrived missing a valve stem. I thought it would be easy to pop a generic steel or rubber one in, however the hole in the rim is about 8.2 mm or .33", much smaller than everything at the auto parts store.

Is there a specific valve stem for these rims, or do people drill them out to accommodate more common valve stems?

Thanks

Doesn't a spooked wheel get an inner tube, not a valve stem?

Yep, my 81 CM400E specs a tube becaused of the spoked wheels.

Ledzep, you need a tube, this is the one I bought when I replaced the tires on my bike. Since you said it was a 16" rim, I assume it was a rear wheel rim, as opposed to the 18" one on the front of the E models. Make sure it works with what ever tire size you end up going with.
