Hi All,

Just realized that there was a different top bridge that the handlebars bolt on to between the CM400E model and others. It would be a nice and reasonably cheap upgrade to reduce vibration in the handlebars, as the E version has them rigidly mounted, where as the other models have the rubber isolators. comparing the pictures of the two on ebay, the E model is a flat sheet metal type that is sandwiched between the top of the shock, and the cap that screws into the shock. Where as the other models clamps the top of the shock in a cast steel part.

Do these interchange, or would I have to get the whole front end from another bike? Or just the pivoting assy? Or hopefully just the bridge? it is hard to tell what differences if any there are in the head bearing areas.

Thanks!

AFAIK, those drum brake forks are totally different from the disc brake models. So, no, the disc brake upper triple will not fit on those shocks.

That is what I was figuring. Oh well, ordered some softer grips, see how that helps this year.
