Hello friends.
I wanted to share my first project close to the end.
A little background history:
My mechanic friend told me that some years ago he had sold one of these bikes to a friend, and he sold it back because he did not use the bike.
I wish I had a picture of it before the work, but just let me tell you that his condition was a little sad, dirty, scratched, non functional lights, headlight broken, wrong handle,NO battery, etc .... but it had new tires, starts easy and was very cheap. (1800 soles in my country = 527 dollars).
First came to my mind a bobber, but get me to cut chassis and replace it with a rigid subframe, it was a job I did not want to give me, so I started to break it apart and look at the chassis on its original state, which is the same as a CB200 Roadmaster. So I decided I was going to have a style more like a "brat-cafe".
After cleaning it, remove excess paint, a new battery, new spark plugs, new handlebars from a Yamaha FZ16, oil change, reupholstered seats trimmed in thickness, was becoming ready.
I can say that I really like the way she goes, and the sound that those 2 exhausts give.... so nice. Until now I only had one cylinder bikes, and I really like it.
I would like to change the tank for something less cruiser and more like the type of an old CB, but here are difficult to get.
I just need to pick the original speedometer, tachometer indicators from a V-Men 125, think of some graphics and thats it.
What do you think fellows? Any recommendation?
Greetings for this new year 2016 from Lima, Peru.
