Hi To the group,
I think I may have read something about this in a post some where I but cannot locate it now!
I have Keihin VB22 carbs on my cm400 which currently has the non adjustable floats in them (all plastic white ones) I have picked up a re build kit for the earlier carbs which have the adjustable floats in them and was hoping to replace the original ones with these but on fitting them the needle valves were not the right size and would not release when the float was at its 15.5 height. I am wanting to increase the float height to lean off one carb as I think it may be over fueling as it is running too rich.
Do I need different needle valves to do the conversion? Has anyone done this? or indeed is this a do-able conversion, any advice gratefully received!
many thanks
Dave

You will need the float valves that match the floats.

Not sure I would recommend mis-adjusting the floats to compensate for whatever is responsible for the rich condition, but, if it works...................................

Post moved to SOHC fuel section.
