1971 cb175, measured the springs at 1.13 inches(28mm), manual says should be 1.4 inches(35mm) do I have springs from a cb200?

Did you check out the rest of the links? They are not the same.

By the way what kind of oil are you running? Automotive oil is not suitable for use in bikes with wet clutches and will cause slippage.

yes, auto oil, did not know I needed special oil, what do I need?

You need oil that is safe for wet clutches like specially formulated motorcycle oil or ones that are rated for JASO MA.
I use Rotella T4, it's cheap, readily available and good.

That alone might be your whole problem right there >>> using the wrong oil.
I would change oil ASAP.

It's not required but you can flush it if you want.
I would just change the oil with one that is JASO MA rated and like I said Rotella is easy to find and cheap.
