Hi all, an oil question--maybe one that has already been answered-- Be kind I'm new to the board. Can or will using synthetic oil in a 1973 CB450 cause a newer clutch to slip? My clutch has only a few hundred miles on it and slip under load. I believe it's adjusted correctly, using the throw-out adjuster and a little cable free play-- but cit an not handle much of a load. If the oil is the problem, can it be flush with mineral spirits or fuel oil, new non-syn oil replaced, turned over by hand, drained and repeated? I'm looking for some help or at least advice.
Thanks,

This has always been a point of debate......
Let me start by saying I won't use syn oil in my older bikes... Call me "old school", but I've just never had good results with it.... This was back when it first came out into use though....Newer formulations might work fine....
On the older bikes, I try to use the grade, weight and type oil that was available when the bike was designed, and it is "spec'd" for....Just my $.02....
