Hello Guru's ...

As a few of you know, I've been having issues with my clutch since reassembling my '75 CB360T .... I have follow Steve's (66Sprint) instructions on clutch adjustment to the letter a number of times with no luck ... it was suggested that I take the clutch apart and inspect / clean it, which I did this weekend ... (I also took apart the oil pump / filter and am doing the same while in there) ... I found out that I am missing a part though ... the "clutch plate stopper ring" is not present (see diagram #8) ... I am assuming that this is something I need for the clutch to operate properly (and suspect that it could be contributing to my issues) ... first, is this piece necessary? (again, I suspect yes) ... 2nd, does anyone know where I could buy one? I've checked a few of the usual sites, but it's usually listed as not available anymore ...

By some miracle, would someone have one laying around in a part box by chance? I would be happy to pay you for it ...

Another question, same topic ... what do you use to clean the friction plates? I've heard gas or kerosene for the metal plates, but I don't want to screw up the friction plates by using the wrong cleaner ... suggestions?

Thanks again ... Bill

Which part? Number 8?
Really it's only there to stop thick rear plate getting mixed up with the others.
You could probably make one from piano wire as it's real small diameter wire. I have a coule of clutches in pieces, I'll measure diameter and get back to you

OK ... I'm a knucklehead for sure ... it's there ... I didn't know what I was looking for exactly and realized that it was there after I examined, what I thought was a cotter pin, holding the thick rear plate in place ... call off the fire drill!! Newb mistake :)
