I have read a couple sources saying the "T" mark on the bolts in the timing area should be facing out and down. So the base of the T pointing approximately 45 degrees out from straight down. Any info on this? Seems I have two that are not facing this way but my valve clearances are correct.

Yep on the index marks but that's for a 450. Do you have the 350 manual? This whole thing is in the manual

I believe it's
Lt exhaust - clockwise loosen
Rt ex - CW tighten
Lt IN - CW tighten
Rt IN - CW loosen

I dont have the manual. But yea that seems to be how it was. Corrected all the screws. Got my valves, timing, and cam chain set. need to re-jet for pod filters now. Too bad these things didnt come with normal jets...
