Has anyone had issues with their stock 71 cl350 choke turning on(lever up) while riding?

I guess its not a huge deal, but it is irritating losing power every 3 minutes because the vibration just moves the lever up on its own and i have to bring it back down every time while i ride.
Is there any way of fixing this? i was thinking of just attaching wire or something to keep it down, but if i could i avoid that, it would be great.

Appreciate any help

There is a small TAB that engages a NOTCH on the Choke Lever.
FULL Choke / HALF Choke / OFF.
They wear and yours may need to be taken off and bent SLIGHTLY so it will engage and hold.

See Pic.

It seems like my carb doesnt have that tab at all. Look at pic.

Would any sort of bent metal work for this?

I have a couple parts carbs if you want to swing by and grab that piece. Or I may be able to deliver if you're not too far. What part of LA?

If you could get a small peice of spring steel it would work.
I'm not sure just any metal tab would do dthe trick since it has to flex.

But it would be worth the try.
Howevr rm the previous post It sees you have a better option with an OEM Part.

That would be extremely helpful. I live like 30 minutes inland from LA.
