Hi all first post so hope it's the right section.
I have an early CL125A starts first time, good idle & runs well on a flat road but bogs right down if I attempt anything above half throttle for hill etc.
All thoughts will be most welcomed

Fuel delivery from half to full throttle is mostly controlled by the size off the main jet. Does it blow black smoke or does it seem to be starving for fuel? With the throttle open to where it is bogging down, try closing the choke part-way, does it get better or worse?

Hi Mike thank you for a rapid reply, main jet 100 no smoke feels like fuel starvation & yes it will try to recover if throttle backed off or a little choke added . regards t.

Hi, no that was damaged beyond repair. I fitted a length of convoluted hose exiting under dual seat with a cone filter. I have tried with it connected & disconnected to carb no change.
