I am planning a ride for May 2nd. Kind of informal but I plan on meeting in the Eastgate area on the East side of the 275 loop and then taking a scenic ride along the Ohio river with stops along the way. I hope to have lunch in a historic Kentucky river town (Augusta ). We will be putting the bikes on a ferry boat to cross the Ohio river. There are some great roads and I will be riding my CB450 ( I think ) so it will be a vintage pace of ride. Newer bikes are obviously welcome. PM me if you are interested.

Don,

This sounds like a great ride for folks.

I move it over to the Event Section.

Thanks,

Hey Brown Bomber you beat me to the punch on posting some pics of our ride. Yours are better anyway. We did have a real nice ride and the weather actually turned out to be almost perfect as opposed to the forecasted rainy day. The town we are standing in is Augusta Ky and we got there on the ferry boat from the Ohio side of the river. I dont know if any of you have had the pleasure of seiing BB's 500 but it is absolutely gorgeous.
I hope to get my 450 looking half that good some day.

Thanks for the kind words Don, your bikes look fine., (That nice looking red, and white one on the lift needs to come out, so I can chase it around the twisties.) let's see some of your pictures.

222/133 down to the ferry was nice. Never taken a bike across a ferry before. Augusta made for a perfect stop, with it's picturesque storefronts, and good food at the general store. That was a nice stretch of 8 before we meandered over to 10. The most fun I've had on the 500T. :D

Already looking forward to the next ride.

Nice pics! I wish I was on this website earlier. I live just north of I-275. BTW what is vintage pace anyway?
Vintage pace is a bit more tame than what you would do on a bike with modern brakes, and suspension, but we didn't exactly drag our heels either ;)

Time to start planning another ride :!:

Any plans for another ride? Also there is a "Blues Festival" in Lebanon, OH, where there's a vintage car show and I have even seen nice vintage bikes there on August 7th.

The Blues Festival looks like like fun, and I may attend, but as far as a "ride" goes, I'd rather a group of us meet someplace for breakfast, or coffee, and head off to northern KY for a day of riding back roads. Lunch in Falmouth then head back. Something like that.
