Hi,
I decided to open the chain tensioner lock nut on my honda cm400, And it turned out that the 10mm key slides on the nut. The head of the nut is worn.
Is it possible to open the nut in force in the current position as it is and simply replace the nut?

If you mean the timing chain tensioner nut... yes you can remove and replace that. There is another bolt above it, between the carb manifolds... that keeps the tensioner in place.
