A replacement filter is quite expensive and hard for me to get. What have other people done to supply clean filtered air to their CD175? If pod filter is used, does the carburetor need to be re jetted?

You could do what I did. Chisel out all the paper element from the CD175 box. Buy a big paper element for a car which can by quite inexpensive. In my case I bought one for a Mitsubishi Shogun. Cut it up and glue the new paper in your box. There will be enough for several replacements.
No messing with jets needed.

Hi rod I am from Canada so no Mitsubishi Shogun here. Any chance you could post a picture of what you did? I am not entirely sure of how to go about this.

Here is a pic of the Mitsubishi filter after I had cut out a bit for the Honda. As you can see there is enough for several Hondas. I'm sure many other cars use similar paper filters that could be used.
