Anyone have a pair of cylinders from a 175 handy?

I want to know what the centre to centre distance is, the crank/con rod centres of course is good too.
Also the bottom to top sealing face distance and the length of the skirt that goes into the cases.

Considering a Jug/head swap from a larger CB

Hi Alex,

Just spotted this. I do have a spare CD175 cylinder block to hand, measurements subject to my plastic ruler and failing eyesight ! Liners partially removed from jacket, hence some vagueness.

Finned jacket height - 60 mm
Liner height - 89mm (ish)
Therefore, liner protrudes 29mm into crankcase mouth.
Distance between liners - 57mm
Overall width, outside edge of liner to liner - 173mm (or 177 (57+60+60))
Con rod centre to centre 113mm, extrapolated from above dimensions.
OD of liner 60mm at bottom edge ( There is a wider lip at the cylinder to head interface )
ID of liner 52mm, so liner is 8mm thick, 7mm with maximum 1mm overbore.

Note that none of these measurements is taken with any degree of precision :geek:

That's brill Richard!
Seems that the bore centres (57 +60) are 117, that's 3 mm short of the SD jugs.
You say the con rods are 113mm apart, do they float left/right on the big end bearings?

My (very rough) 113mm - 117 mm was bore centre to bore centre, I just assumed same for conrods.

It's appreciated Richard, I reckon it's close enough.
Unfortunately it may mean the SD jugs are a different enough to be off the table
