Just replaced the rocker arms on the exhaust cam of a cb450, now the top end isnt lubricating. oil pump is working, oil filter isnt clogged, before I tear it apart again and check the passages does anyone have any ideas?
Are you sure the oil passages from the pump to the centrifugal filter (in the little round right side cover) are properly aligned? I believe the cover can be installed so oil won't flow on some Hondas, can't remember if a 450 is one of them....
First, make sure it isn't oiling - 450's have pretty pitiful oiling systems at their best.
The two head bolts on the right side are actually oil passages. They both have copper washers - the one in the front can be loosened while the engine is running, and you should see oil coming out around the stud........
