This is to inform members and to ask them to spread a gofundme campaign to begin a reproduction of the 65-74 dohc cb450 starter clutch housing that has become increasingly difficult to find.

Here is the link
http://www.gofundme.com/cb450starterclutch

Please help with what you can, save the link for updates, offer input, suggestions, and share to other forums to increase the speed in which this project reaches completion. I personally have a 74 cb450k7 in which I have tried to repair the existing starter clutch, but to no success. My search for a new part will lead others to a source for a new replacement part for their own beloved CB450 DOHC Hondas!

Get in touch with me, offer your input, suggestions, and any possible variations I need to know about to ensure anyone can avail themselves of a quality replacement part!

My name is James Scott Wilson, I go by Scott, I live in Calgary, Alberta. I'm an automotive refinisher by trade, and build Japanese cafe racers and hardtail motorcycles for my own personal enjoyment. My first was a 76 cb360 Cafe, my last was a Yamaha xs650 hillclimber inspired hardtail which made it into a cycle Canada spread a couple years ago. Currently I'm in the progress of my very own cb450k, in which the rearsets limit the use of the kickstart, and a full motogadget electronics setup makes using the starter a snap, but the weak link sadly is this troublesome worn out starter clutch housing! Re: starter clutch

Information from machinists, draftspersons, marketing specialists, distributors, and other forums is very valuable towards this project.
