Hi,

I have a 1966 CB450 KO. At idle the breaker points from the right cylinder arcs constantly. The other breaker points don't arc at all.

Advice needed! Thanks!!

Arcing may be caused by a bad or failing condernser.

It's sole role is to suppress the arcing that occurs when the points open and close.
Arcing will cause pits in the contact surfaces, and will eventually lead to the points not having a proper gap.

When you see the points arcing think miniature arc welding, that is exactly what is happening.
