Hello!

Im a newbie on the old Honda twins, got my Honda a month ago. Really Nice bike I must say, always wanted one!

It ran when i bought it, tried to start it when I got home and it ran rough spitting and caughing... Then I noticed that the left carburetor whas leaking so I ordered two rebuild kits and cleaned them out good... Bench synced them and installed them, wouldnt start at all... So today I hade a look at the ignition timing and it was way off, so I adjusted the timing and tried to start it and it fired right up at the first try... The idle was about 2500 rpm and as I give it throttle it dies straight ahead... So my question here is what will I do next? Guess alot of people here is well known with this issue...

Kind regards,

Mike, aka Doke..

No one?

Today I got it running better, Guess what, it was the idle screws... Rookie mistake I guess, got her running pretty good so I descided to take her arround the block, got to a crossing and was about to go on to a bigger road and she didnt have the power to pull so it stalled... Started right up and and tried again, same thing and then it wouldnt start at all... Man theese carbs are sensitive, thats why the bike is a she since it will give you **** for no reason... But with the right touch it will be fine I guess... Do you guys think it runs lean since it Dont have enough fuel or is it rich so it drowns itself? Cant wrap my head arround it, the plugs looken fine too... The pilot screws are set at 7/8 of a turn out now, I used keysters rebuild kits and Ive heard that they are not that good?
