Hi,

I have a 1970 CB450 K1 and I think that the speedo/tacho mounting bracket is not correct, as the two clocks are very close together and seem to "tip" inwards on the bracket. Could someone, please send me a link to the correct bracket for the year. I've searched the internet and there seems to be loads of different brackets, some that locate the guages with two fixing screws and others that just have one. It seems very confusing! Any info gratefully received.

There were several different triple clamp/instrument bracket combinations for the 450, and they are specific to the K-model(s) involved.

I've been through this; Bill is absolutely correct.

Here's the mounting bracket that was on the bike when I got it:

After much searching, I cam across a few different examples:

In the end, since there seemed to be as many options as there are bikes, I used a piece of aluminium - the stuff often used to "protect" fancy SUV bodywork - and fashioned my own. My original aim was to move them further apart and try to improve on the single mounting stud arangement. I only succeeded fully on the first.

Good luck.
