Hey,
One of the harness wires that goes into the ignition switch plug on my CB450 has broke off. I managed to hack it back together but would like to put a new plug on there.
Anyone know a company that makes the circular plug like this?
Or do you have to buy a whole new wiring harness to fix it right - ?

I think you have a couple of options. The first is to buy a complete harness on eBay. You can get one for about $20(includes shipping) and have a bunch of connections left over.

The other is to give this guy a call http://www.vintageconnections.com/ He's very responsive to email and helpful. He'll let you know what he can do for you and what he can't. Even if he doesn't have the plug you need he may be able to help you identify a good 6 pin plug that you can use in it's place.

Good luck.

If Vintage Connections has this plug, please let us know? I have never seen this paticular plug for sale as a separate piece! TIA, danWI

If you arent looking to do a concours restoration just go to Radio Shack and wire in a new plug with the proper number of wires connections.
Also, I bet you could repair yours.
I am a cheap SOB and I would be soldering in a new wire.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I was looking to solder the one I have but its so corroded (borrowed the picture above from another site)
Sooo, I cut the existing wire and crimped it together to keep the bike operational. Guess at this point I'm stuck with picking up a new switch and harness or a connector.
Ill checkout these vintage connectors and see what they have.

I'm in a similar boat, I bought a replacement ignition switch, but the male end isn't there, just wires. I went to RadioShack and picked up some bullet connectors. In the first "on" position I get a signal between the 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock points and also between the 10 o'clock and 8 o'clock points. In the second "on" position I'm getting signal between the 2 o'clock and 10 o'clock.

Any thoughts?
