Hey guys I have just bought my first cb450 (long time liker first time buyer)

It was listed as a 1969 K1, but I have a feeling it might be the earlier K0 model due to the metal shrouds on the front forks.

It is an american bike imported into Australia

I did some poking around myself and found that it is indeed a k1!

That looks like a K1 to me. The few that I've seen here have metal fork shrouds. Nice find!

Yes, it is a K1. Only things that jump out to me as not original are the seat cover and the tail light. K1s had an oval tail light.

I’m jumping in with everyone else and agreeing it’s definitely a K1 other than seat and tail light. Nice bike in seemingly good condition.

Hi Greg my 450 is a K2 .Also has metal shrouds ,last model before
the rubber gattors .Has twins leading front brake like your bike ,last before disc.

Greg, congrats on a great purchase, they are arguably one of Honda's best from the 60's. I have been studying these for a while and currently own a few examples and although many early production bikes exist with the oval taillight, the later production bikes had the lens type shared with the K2. I have also found no conclusive information with regard to the upper fork covers/ gators... personally I have both types and there seems to be no rhyme/ reason for the difference. The bike appears to be a 'USA' model so I assume the vin is something like CB450-300XXXX typically that will give you volumes of information on the bike. Although they only made something like 8500 bikes total there were lots of changes. Honda had and still has a habit of improving things as they go. ; )
