Hey guys,

I have a 1974 CB360 that I have been working on for the past year or so. I rebuilt the engine and have it running now. When I first rode it after rebuilding the engine, the clutch was sticking slightly causing it to want to jump slightly when I put it into gear. That problem is gone, but now it has developed a problem where when I am shifting up sometimes it will "miss" the gear I am going for and essentially go into neutral. It tends to happen mainly between 1st and 2nd, and 2nd and 3rd. I have to then shift down to get into the gear I am aiming for. I don't ever have this issue when shifting down.

I have adjusted the clutch per the manual, and it seems to be engaging correctly.

Anyone have any idea on what could be going on?

Thanks,
John

This roller holds the shift drum in gear and runs on a star shaped cam. The roller maybe loose or the spring broken.
