On my carburetor rebuild, I noticed that my original CB360 carburetor diaphragms were in good shape. No rips, no holes, no patch-jobs. Great! However, I did notice that the resting length of the two springs was not identical (one was "shorter" than the other) and did not match the 5.25 inch length on trek97's carburetor guide. Off the top of my head, I don't recall if the length was shorter or longer. Is this a cause for concern?

Yes, there should be a spec for them in the manual, I'm not by any of my available ones but they need to be the same and they need to be "in spec". You can try stretching them so they are at least the same length.

Worth a shot. Better than shelling out $70-80 each for a Honda diaphragm/slide/spring kit.

When I took mine apart last week they were 4 3/4". I tried stretching them with little luck. Whether they have had an effect on operation is questionable. When I open it up it has run like a spinning top. Your mileage may vary................

Took them out and measured them. One was 4.7 inches and the other 5.1 inches.
