I’m going through my stash looking for front cb/cL 450 wheels for a project. How can I tell my 350 wheels from my 450? Is it spoke count, width, or axle diameter?
The CB350 wheels should be 36 spoke, and the CB450 should be 40. The right side of the hub on the 450 should have the tangs for the speedometer drive. The CB450 drum wheels are 18 inch diameter, as are the CB350 wheels. The CL450 wheels have a 19 inch rim, I believe.
Yeah, the easiest way to tell is the speedo drive. The 350 drive is on the brake backing plate (left side) and the 450 drive is outside, on the right side of the hub. Yes, the CL350 has a 19" front wheel.
