Hi everyone,

I just signed up for this forum and wanted to see if anyone has any ideas of why my 72 cb350 is running bad at low rpms.
When the bike is first started up, it idles a little low (bout 900 rpm) and sometimes i have to blip the throttle several times to get it to stay running until it warms up. It seems to have a little lag in the throttle below 4k rpms as well. Once the bike is warmed up and i ride if for a few mins, the idle creeps up to about 1200 rpm and seems to idle and run fine, but every once in a while at a stop light it either dies, or when i put it in gear leaving a light it dies on me.

I was thinking it could either be an ignition timing issue or some dirty carbs???

Any ideas would greatly help.

Thanks

I am new to these twins, but it sounds dirty carbs to me. Idle jet, sticky slides and the such.
