So find top left by checking for compression coming out the spark plug. Set it at LT, line up the top sproket so the line is facing me and parallel to the engine top and the marker at the end of the camshaft is pointing straight up. Is that how I set the timing correctly?

Also the first bolt put in at the top is the FULL threaded one correct?

LT on generator

You should see the piston through the left plug hole

Horizontal line on the cam sprocket with cam bearings installed. Use your hand to put tension on the chain roller. All sloppy like in the photo will lead to skipped teeth.

Bolt... Check the manual. It indicates which is where.

OK it seemed easier to get one bolt on with hand tension and then push the two ends on and give it a few spins. Seems to line up correctly each rotation now.
