Hey folks,
Seen an engine for sale, a CB250NE.
What is the difference between the 250N and the NE?

Is it electric only start?

Over here, Alex, the T model has tach and Comstar wheels and the E model has no tach and spoke wheels. Going by that scenario, I would guess the NE would not have tach drive on right cover.

The way I've been reading the CMSNL parts fiches is that the A,B,C,D designation after the model refers to the year. First year is blank or an A, next is B. So the CB250NE would be the 5th or possibly the 6th year of production. This changes also depending on the country as some countries started receiving a model a year or 2 later than others and so each country started with A but could be a couple of years later than another country which could be on the B or C designation. Make sense?

I looked at CMSL also, the 250N (superdream) was not available in US I believe, it was the square coffin tank.
Looks from CMSL that the bike was 250N marked and engine was 250NE marked.
I only want to start with a motor that is kick start (and elec but wouldn't use it)
