Hi there,
I’ve just got a 250 running and have an issue with the clutch slipping. I’m using a mineral based 10w40 oil that’s JASO-MA rated, but which has caused my 350 to slip. I’ve replaced the friction plates (for quite cheap ones), EBC stronger springs and roughed up the metal plates but it is still slipping when revving high at gear changes and pulling away.
On the 350 I used new metal plates, used EBC friction plates and stronger springs and the slipping from the oil ceased.
Is it still happening on the 250 due to cheap friction plates or not replacing the metal plates? Or is there something else I should look at? The clutch cable has been replaced for a new one so pretty happy it’s not that.
Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks.
