Hey All,

Anyone know the dimensions of the valve guide for a 73/74 CB200 US ? I'm located in AUS and need to confirm valve seals for it from a local supplier rather than buy OS and pay too much in shipping.

The supplier has asked specifically for H and I diameter. I cant measure my guides as they are too deep in the head.

Can anyone advise or measure their old valve guides that may be out of the head?

thx in advance.

CMSNL.com or davidsilverspares may be able to help....

The chances of someone have valve guides "on the bench" is Gunna be slim.

Are your valve spring out of the head at the moment ?

Also check on CMSNL to see what other models they fit in the " what other model these parts fit down the parts page...

If they fit a cb250n, they might, then I can help out, also check valve guide seals, ditto...

Or post link to your exact model...
.

Valve seals usually come with a head gasket set.....

Honda UK may help but...

Honda Australia ????

Is it just seals you need or guides as well ?

Over..

Pps, do they fit cb125s ?
Solid head type...

Thinks to think about when pounding out/in guides.
1. Have to remove the carbon off the guide, or the pounding out will cut the hole up.
2. Notice the oversize offer. The pounding in moved the molecules of the hole out, thus the oversize.
3. Then there is the cutting of a new seat and will you have any lash set to spec once the valve moves up the head.
4. Then to see if the reamer is still available.

Hey thanks for the reply,

Springs are out but guide too deep to measure. The guides and valves are in great condition with very little weir or play. Valves measure within service limit so I wont be replacing them. The valve seals however need replacing so I'm waiting on an overhaul gasket kit from Common Motor Collective but kit don't come with valve seals ;-(
Also, i dont have the tools for reseating, reaming etc.

True, there may be a common shared valve seal so Part no - 12209-354 003

thx again

Cb200b USA 1974 CMSNL...

Where fits just goes round and round, internet not great here...

Gasket sets usually come with valve seals...

Inlet and exhaust use same seal...

You know stem diameter so you have a starting point...

DSS search came to a dead end...

So, you could use a selection of tube to determine outer diameter, ruler to determine depth...

No tubes, what about washers or valve spring ?

There will be a way to determine diameter...

Wait for gasket set to arrive or email CMSNL ?

Good luck mate.

Did you have any joy with your hunt for valve stem oil seals ?

Davidsilverspares list a complete gasket set but I cannot see the seals in the picture.

There is a supplier of engine bits and bobs that may have the seals, I am hunting for there web address...
