Hi!

I have a very simple, very noob question to make: in my cb 450k, in what position should the choke lever (see picture) be, after the engine has been warmed up (I have the lever up when starting the engine; "A" - in the picture): should it be half-way down, all the way down (to the 'open' position, as written in the lever; "1" - in the picture), or in which position?

Thanks!

In general, you should not need the choke while running normally once the engine’s warmed up.

be mindful, that years of opening and closing it can put some obvious stress on it. Last year, I made a dummy mistake when re-installing my carbs and had an air leak strong enough to actually close the lever when I revved high! oh boy...this year, I swapped carbs for an unrelated issue and def. noted that the choke lever is stronger on this particular carb. hey, it happens...
