Hey folks. First post. I have a 1970 CB175. I was cranking it over using the e-start and it make a crack noise and suddenly it was seized. Can't turn over with kickstart or e-start. Any thoughts on the cause and solution? I ran it last in the fall and turned it over every few weeks over the winter. Thanks.

IF you can turn it over, it isn't siezed....Something might be broken, but not enough info....

Sorry 66sprint. I said "can" when I meant to say "can't". I corrected my post. And to be clear, it is most definitely seized/bound up. Thanks

Siezed just means mechanically bound, so you'll have to determine the problem by opening and looking for the problem.....
I'd remove the sparkplugs first and peer inside with a flashlight.....
IF that fails, try to rotate the engine backwards using the bolt on the left side of the crankshaft....
It could be as simple as your camchain masterlink has separated and jammed somewhere.....or the choke plate has broken and been "swallowed"....
Feel free to phone for guidance as you go......540-525-5199....Steve
