Hey guys, I'm finally able to start working on the 450 again. Can you recommend a good cam chain brand and where to get one? I've seen OEM ones in the $80 range and I've seen EK brand chains as low as $25. Recommendations?

I went with the EK brand I believe. I got it from an Ebay seller "georgefix".. He even included 3 master links at my request and only charged me for one.

You might look into a chain meant for a CB750. I've read somewhere that people were using 750 chains from a certain manufacturer that had link sideplates that were a little more heavy duty. Although the EK would probably be just fine for a stock engine.

That's exactly the seller I saw with the $25 price. Z1 Enterprises have them listed for 20, but they don't come with a masterlink.

I think we'd ALL be surprised if we actually knew the exact tensile strength of these different brands of chain.
