o.k. i've read all these posts on this issue and still don't understand.i bought a 64 link cam chain from bike bandit,and i don't want to cut it if it's not right for my bike.i was under the assumption that from 1968-1974 the motors were the same "internally" with the exception of head set-up(comp. ratio) and piston domes.if i'm wrong here please help me out someone as i spent $90.00 for chain and link,and can return/exchange for right one.thanks,tim... :?:

Tim.... Depends on HOW you count.... There should be 64 outer links (and 64 inners), counting the "master" as an outer... Or, 128 PINS including the two on the "master" link......

$90.00 for a cam chain!! :shock: :shock: :shock: I got mine from Ebay for $25.00 plus shipping... I believe you got taken to the bank my friend...

:evil: your right,i got screwed.bought another on e-bay for $35.00 including shipping.i sent the other back.they have $4.00 re-stocking fee,but i still saved a bunch.thank you for the tip about e-bay. :D
