After sitting for 30 years, the inside/outside of the carburetor on my inherited CA95 was a mess.

After some elbow grease, carb cleaner and a carb kit, it's looking better.

Now my question. I feel dumb asking, but coming from a novice here. I'd like to put the carburetor 'cap' in my carb cleaner for an hour, prior to replacing the gasket on it, but I can't figure out how it detaches from the throttle cable? :confused:

It should just pull out. Use some acetone or carb cleaner to dissolve the gunk holding it in.
