So I picked up my new project 1966 Black Bomber and started pulling it apart, but was abruptly halted when i couldn't get the bolts out of the air box cover. I know it's a hex bolt with a spacer sleeve that has a nut on the opposite side of the frame tab. I got the nut off easily (surprisingly) and the bolt pulled out just a bit before it stopped. I yanked and yanked and sprayed it with PB blaster, tried to wrench it out, tried to bang it out but nothing. Finally after all that I kept at it and the damned thing broke. but at least it's out. After inspecting the setup, I can only assume that it was just corrosion that was holding it in as it would appear that it just slides in through the cover face, then the spacer, then the frame tab to the nut. Am I missing something here?
