My old CL doesn't have the little honda tool kit with it and I'd love to get something. It's a pretty small space in there, so a lot of the modern kits don't fit. Anything out there better than the OEM kits that I can find on Ebay?

Could this fit? https://www.louis.eu/artikel/rothewald-motorcycle-travel-tool-kit-31-piece/10002753 If not look at newer 50ccm bikes. The MT and MB50 has a small toolcompartment and their toolkit could fit your bike.
