I'm working on a cafe/tracker cb450 build and am in the process of finding a small battery. On the common motor collective website FAQ they mention you can use small SLA batteries meant for in home security type systems. But all I could find were batteries with these T2 terminals. I ended up getting this one.

It should work. I know I'm taking a gamble but it was only $20. It's more than the 5 amp minimum and has held a 12.7v charge since I bought it. Crossing my fingers.

But I guess my question is about the terminals it comes with. Obviously not setup for a bike. I was thinking of soldering standard ring connectors to each terminal and bolting the positive and negative to those.

Is this crazy talk? Would these terminals hold up to the amps going through them?

Awesome! I'm so glad to hear that it will work. I'm also doing a kick start only bike.
