I could not find the answer with the search tool...Here the 200$ question:
did somebody have tried to replaced the stator from a Cl350K4 with another more powerful stator from a different bike ?

I am not sure but a concept like taking a X bike stator plus a new regulator+voltage regulator will give a Cl350K4 enough juice to run lights on during day...see my idea?

A. It must fit in the hole, of course....

To everyone/anyone here: Isn't one of our members doing this exact thing as we speak??? I remember seeing some machine work being done to a stator cover I think..

Hi
I believe that the thread GB referred to is
CL350 Alternator Rotor Removal
in The Mechanical issues section.

The new cover should already be build and probably coming from the cannibalized bike, otherwise if you have to machined it from scratch, it's simply get to a point were big dollar aren't an easy option. I would removed all the incandescent light bulbs, replaced everything with LED and probably add an 35watt HID and keep the sad pushing amp original stator.

what about a DIY complete rewinding ?
