Hi,
What is the best process of removing the ignition coil on a 1968 CD175 Sloper? It"s mounted within the tubular frame below the tank.

Take the fuel tank off, then unscrew two 6mm nuts and unplug two wires.

Thanks Mike, not quite as easy as that with the earlier sloper models. The coil is inside the frame. I've no idea how to get to the thing.

With the battery and air filter removed, the coil should out the right side

Just put the coil back in my '67 this afternoon. Mike is right. You'll have to remove seat and tank. Then remove the airfilter and rubber air box. If it's anything like mine, the airbox is probably pretty hard and brittle. Use some heat to soften up the rubber and then pull it back off the carb and through the rear of the frame. Then you can get your hand up inside the front of the frame to access the coil.
