Yep. From what I understand, this gives less rake which will quicken the steering. You'll have to watch that it doesn't get twitchy, particularly at high speeds. How you TEST for that, I don't know, without a 'run-it-up-and-see' test.
Other things to watch for would be interference with the fender/wheel/frame/tank/exhaust at full compression. Just gotta make sure nothing binds at that extreme.
