K, now I have done regular forks, but the air thing complicates things. I bought new seals, but there's more I will need isn't there?

I have access to the Clymer on my PC but have yet to look (will have to find the PDF even, know I have it, just not sure where).

If anyone has any preliminary advice on the job I'm all ears. So far all I have it new seals.

I rebuilt the forks on my 81 CM400C, it had air caps and the crossover tube, possibly they're the same setup. I didn't find any surprises inside, the air assist was just the caps and crossover. I put them back in the triple clamps before filling them, then I installed the air caps and crossover so I wouldn't accidentally spill any fork oil.

Looks about the same to me. Once you have your forks apart you can assess the condition and go from there, buying seals in advance is a fine idea but you won't know what more may be needed until they're apart.
