Hey folks, I am now the proud owner of a $60 1980 Twinstar.

As you know, all of these are 6v, but I have some things I'd like to do that involve 12v. I know its not the easiest thing, but I found a kit that *should* work, but I wanted to get some input.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Motorcycle...&fits=Year:1981|Model:Twinstar+200|Make:Honda

Will this do the trick? Obviously I need a 12v battery and a new starter (and horn too from what I hear)

The only thing I see is that it only has the one coil??

Can someone tell me if this would be worth it (at least for the wiring harness, stator etc?)

Thanks in advance!

That "kit" is actually the harness and bits for a Chinese scooter (one cylinder) and since you have no way to mount it to your engine, nor the proper rotor for the CDI magneto, it won't work.....

I figured as much, I guess I'll have to do it the hard way. Honestly the 12v is mostly for better lights and CDI, maybe I can find some decent 6v LEDs
